The U.S. force that scoured Iraq for weapons of mass destruction -- cited by President Bush as justification for war -- has abandoned its long and fruitless hunt. The 1,700-strong Iraq Survey Group, responsible for the hunt, last month wrapped up physical searches for weapons of mass destruction having found absolutely nothing.

MATHEMATICALLY IMPOSSIBLE SWINGS TOWARDS BUSH ON ELECTION NIGHT
In one disputed county, the total number of respondents at 9 p.m. was well over 13,000 and at 1:36 a.m. it had risen less than 3 percent - to 13,531. Given the small increase in respondents, the county's 5 percent swing to Bush is mathematically impossible.
